Imitation and Flattery

I suppose imitation is the highest form of flattery.
My post (in February). Her post, in May.

How is her article in anyway an imitation of yours? "Spitting in the customer's food" or "How Not to get your food spit in" [the title of both] is not owned by either of you - and as such is common venacular in the restaurant industry. Having worked in the business for several years in HS and college I never saw abuse of food - but everyone said the all too familiar "Oh, just spit in his food" while in the BOH. This was 15 years ago. Sorry, nice name for a blog, but you didn't invent the title.

She lists ten things - and they are good, concise [yours certainly weren't] and don't copy yours in the least.

That said, I fail to see the imitation.

No offense, but I have to say I liked her article better. You seem a little put upon in yours and that is just sad, although I thought the comments were a little harsh [yours included].

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I was confused as to why you thought there was any similarity to the two.
